What: Battle of the Bands 2009 PLC vs Scotch (2 bands from each school) with guest artist. Style is rock.
When: Wednesday 29th April 2009, 7pm - 9:30pm
Where: PLC, Wyselaskie Hall
Ticket: $5 to Neno Girls (a school in Malawi we fund) Can pay at door.

Why I am telling you this: Because you HAVE to come. Don't you wanna see us four (em, ying, viv, wensi) rock it ?! Who cares about those other pro bands, we need a Year 12 cheer squad at least damnit!

school is stupid

Actually, it's not that bad. Yet....

Nothing to blog about lately. Because school ate up my social life and everything fun about me i'm going to tell you guys what i did on the holidays.

I'm that interesting.

- woke up at 9am and slept at 1-3am
- walked 2km home once in jeans and hoodie from George St to Reynolds Road.
- should become a Docklands tourguide. I can even draw a landuse map for you!
- became a qualified swimming teacher
- bought formal dress - Joanne got same one as me :O We're twins !
- didn't go swimming training like i planned
- didn't go see Wicked again like i planned...
- stared at people in State Library
- i don't even know what hw i did.
- drummed
- got an expensive phone bill. great.
- went on a massive shopping spree ...
- bought yummy korean candy
- went out a bit too much.
- cbf about UMAT prep.

Today, Vi and i passed our Austswim assessment.

This means teaching a 40min lesson by yourself at any level you wish and you get feedback. You had to also pass a written exam at the start of the course... it's all physics and common sense but for some reason i only got 74% when the cut off mark is 60% LOLLL

This means we are now qualified swimming teachers that can teach at all levels, water safety included. =) The pay's pretty good too - start at $20/hr ^^ especially if you teach 3.5hrs at a time.

So if any of you want a swimming lesson soon .... call me. haha. I'll give you a lesson for free, i'm that nice. rofl..

Drumming depresses me so much. I want to kick it.

It hurts my brain. It hurts my self esteem. It hurts my right foot. But what sucks the most is that i don't even have a drum kit. Hilarious, isn't it?

Suddenly, i'm not believing in myself anymore. It's really hard.

Edit: After running with dogs and going over I Don't Care (haha, how fitting) , i feel better now. But this feeling keeps coming back :(

Highlights of last day of term 1:

I am a morning person.
Mary Magdalene also appears to be a morning person, since she decided to be up on Easter Sunday outside Jesus' tomb, out of grief.

- Rugby Jumpers
I could've put FROGGY, but opted for the title GFM #1 (h)
Em and glor put #2 and #3 respectively :) We are GFM family.

- Three bloodnoses
1) Morning wake up call
2) When changing afterschool
3) Boxhill Station --> bloodied hand i kept scaring stoof with. --> got concession card with a bloodied face.

- Epic thunderstorm
Enough said. But it better not happen when i'm taking my 100 EE surveys.

- Distressed froggy
My ee supervisor wasn't here today and i think Mrs Day thinks im a distressed maniac because i was so upset. I REALLY NEED THAT DRAFT. NOW. But it's cool i'm getting it mailed to me.

- 1.5 hour trip from PLC to MC
Haha, we dropped Gloria's stuff off at bh and that meant squeezing into a sauna/767 bus. Trained to Flinders with crap customer service. Finally got to MC and all along with Gloria and Stoof bashing each other up while Emily and i were @.@

- Felt violated
According to Stoof, i had a middle age guy check out my legs in Borders MC. GAH. I really should exfoliate them. And start running. Thankyou to Stoof for wtf-ing him away.

- Kbox/2nd Sauna
Squishing 23 awesome people into a room fit for 10 is pretty cool. Not only do you lose water weight, you get mass singing that leaves you feeling drained but on a high. And knowing pretty much everyone in the room helps too :)

- Lost water bottle
Yes, the one i chewed. It's with Nadia, i hope.

- Belle's party dinner at Sofias
Lots of food but I didn't know whether to be more critical of the asians/non asian or the IB/VCE segregation. It's kind of sad both ways, but increasingly unavoidable. And i'm happy that Belle likes the whale Stoof, Clare, Joanne and I bought her :)

- Preparation for black hole of doom
I depressed myself last night with the amount of hw/study I/we all have to do in these two weeks. Including EE, World Lit, UMAT preparation and i cbf with TOK atm.

- Drumming
I learned/figured out two new beat combos last night. I'm cool.

My life is very interesting, no?

BAND 45

We got in :)

But more for our stage performance rather than musical ability though. Well what else could you expect from picking up bass guitar/electric guitar/drums in two weeks?

They are compressing/mixing etc a music video of all the bands who auditioned to promote it in assembly later. In other words, AUDIO-SHOPPING. ahhhhhhhhhhhh

And i was busy waving my drumsticks to the camera randomly oh nooo ... We drew "45" on our face/hand too :) IB pride!

Suddenly song choice became a big part of the plan (of owning everyone else) @.@

... i didn't trip up/down/on the stairs/floor today =D
